I got the editing notes back on Road to Chaos, and it sounds like they aren't too extensive, so the book is still on track to come out this November. Happy Dance.  This is very good, as it has been confirmed that I will be a pro at this year's Orycon, which happens mid November. Further wordcount in Cordon Blues has been suspended due to an email with two sets of beta reader feedback from editordude. I'm not sure how to go about processing all this, as I had written the book with a chapter by chapter feedback from editordude as I wrote it. I have a Yule D&D based fantasy story that is so specialized that I hadn't found a professional market to submit it to, so I decided to try a Duotrope "Token Payment" search. Discipline, that's what I need more of. I had to fight with my whiny self that didn't want to work today, but after coaxing the writing mode out with the temptation of writing a poem instead, I got over my daily 200 word goal.

One thing about falling asleep at 8pm, you wake up early. I was up at the unusual hour of 6am. Not only that, I felt productive at that ungodly hour (yes, I know!). I'm happy to report that Book II of June n Peaches is now up over 3,000 words. It feels like  a nice chapter break too. Today over a late lunch at our favorite Denny's, Hunnybun and I worked out the plot of the third book in my Familiar Trouble world, counting June n Peaches as number one, and boy did we come up with some cool stuff.
